I hear you man, I live in South Africa and doesn't watch baseball at all, but I got MLB The Show simply because it's such a classy game

Can the Madden team explain this?....what is the big deal to have the subtle quarter changes in lighting? Especially when gameplay etc. of NCAA appears to be very similar to Madden 11.

Re: Progressive lighting?

I can tell that this Madden is one of those years that feature wise/and visually (for the most part with exception to the new locker room scene/bus scene), you can watch E3 videos until you turn blue in the face, but the difference will actually come down to how the game actually feels when you get your hands on it. Basically Ian stated it clearly via twitter.

I'll admit Im a little skeptical about how much of an improvement this game is compared to last year because last year it took a giant leap. As long as they fixed the running game which was a huge problem, and the Offensive Line from Nanos, and maybe got a little more Defensive Line pressure (especially from DEs), this was a solid--unattractive year for Madden that could benefit them in the long run.

I just hope when Im actually playing the game, I don't feel like "Wtf did they do for an entire year" lol.

The two really arent much comparable though. I'd much rather have PL and shadows than dreadlocks or long hair.

We should have both though.

Ok,I gotta remain optimistic.......at least he told us straight up "not this year" and that they are commited to "gameplay and such".

That said,I vow before God and OS that if NCAA Football 11 has better gameplay than Madden 11 in addition to having progressive lighting,Im done.I give these devs all the credit and slack in the world for improving Madden 10 so much in their first year but year two should at least keep pace,IMO.

I love NFL football but not to the point to be foolishly optimistic about gameplay improvements every year.

Well said Mr. President,well said.LOL
To be honest, NCAA was better than Madden for a few years on PS2. I'd say from around 02-04 NCAA was a better game. Then they fell off. But it wouldn't be a first if NCAA is better, I for one just wish both games would keep up with one another but with subtle differences to set each apart.
