I tend to disagree that he lied. I think that progression and draft busts / diamonds in the rough worked just about perfect. You had pro-ready prospects that have just about met their ceiling and those that have a long way to go.

That being said. Its hard to have much in the line of expectations. Even if they improve one area they break 5 others. I would be happy if they just expanded how many draft picks you could have and give us next years picks to work with. They were able to do it for a version or too last gen but its just not something that will ever get done.

Madden is a rental for me at this point.

Re: Offline Franchise: The Time for Tweaking is Over

Its pretty sad that most of the things people truly believe would improve offline franchise are all features that were already in previous versions of Madden??? Like getting fired for having a terrible season and being able to sign on as a new coach with another team during franchise instead of being stuck with the same team for 20 plus seasons unless you user control all 32 teams? Even the stats for the O-linemen weren't broken up until recent versions of Madden....I here all this stuff of deeper, longer, shorter, shallower, easier, harder version of Madden this year and nothing about offline franchise mode nor online?????

I just want NFL Head Coach's franchise mode in to Madden. If we had that I'd be all good.

I fell bro that you are overreacting right now. I would wait until we get a blog for this year offline franchise mode before judging wheather we was lied to are not. I do fell that is time for them to start adding depth to the franchise mode and not delay anymore. But until we some kind of blog on it. It's hard to pass judge on madden 11 franchsie mode until we have gotten info on it. I wish Ian are Josh would aleast give us a time table to when they will give us a blog on it. But for now holding my judgement until further notice.

Re: Offline Franchise: The Time for Tweaking is Over

I agee! I have stated the same about not buying the game if Franchise mode is not greatly improved.

I have been banging my head against the wall (it seems) posting ideas in "wishlist" threads over the years.

Finally getting the things that have been asked for in NFL Head Coach 09! The game WAS & IS still NFL Football when it comes to off the field stuff.

Then to have it taken away & having to go back to a shell of a game. All to be dissapointed in the Franchise mode!

I totally understood what Looman was dealing with when he took over Madden 10 chise mode. With him working on the game along with the other programmers that worked on HC09 I purchased Madden 10! I support those guys because they understand football.

BUT, I do know that with Madden this game has it's own direction. The people who call the shots with this game may have a different view on how things ought to be.
One of the differences between HC09 & Madden! Looman and the guys were free to talk about anything about the game and did it on a regular basis here. It was great interaction with the forums!

I'll just sit back and wait for Looman to talk about the goods on Franchise mode.
