And this is why we're where we're at. We shouldn't give EA a free pass because they have bigger things to worry about. I don't see taking the nets from Fifa and using them as a field goal net would take too much time that it causes some big feature to be left out.

The people who work on Madden (and all yearly sports game) are given a limited amount of time to improve the game, whether they address what they want or not they have to produce a game by July or whenever they send it to the presses.

Because of this; time spent on trivial things (such as nets or towels) equals less time spent on more important things

Madden should borrow the team selection screen, the uniform selection screen, the practice arena loading screen, the 3D grass, the locomotion, the jostling and the nets from FIFA.
