WIll The Sprint being Off by Default Improve Gameplay

I'm still out on this one but I'm definitely intrigued by the concept, considering some of the turbo blitzing, and hike and turbo QB scramblers.

Thouhgts???

i don't think it will help, as the turbo is just automatically applied as you push up on the thumb stick. As for NANO blitzing, that's not done with the turbo button, NANOs are blocking assignment miscues. It's using the faults of the O-line blocking to get a defender to the QB untouched.

funny thing is it can be turned back on. i think they should make a decision and live by it. kinda pissed me off with the vision cone back in the day. u could cut it off and i didnt know it. meanwhile im playing online with it and struggling and other ppl turned it off...kinda sucked. toggling it on and off defeats the purpose of removing it so im not sure how its gonna help things

Sprinting - whether via a button or an analog stick movement - will remain broken as long as it does not RAPIDLY deplete a runner's energy stores. The real issue I have always had with sprinting is not the sprinting itself, but the total lack of consequences for it. I also HATE the fact that I can call a TO and all of a sudden my entire O-line and WRs go from red right back to green! Fatigue is NOT an on-off proposition! Its a progressive thing and it ACCUMULATES!

NBA Live and FIFA handles this pretty well IMO (at least during a specific play sequence, not necessarily over the course of a game) by giving a meter on screen for energy on a turbo move. I would like to see this taken a little further - a player's fatigue rating should determine how fast and how many times they can fully recover without leaving the game for a significant period of time.

NCAA and Madden have always allowed the players waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time in full-on sprint mode without having to slow down, and it never seems to affect them later in the game (or even on the same drive)! This actually MUCH worse when you take QB scramblers into account - no one is able to do what these clowns do play after play after play without dying on the sidelines or cramping up in the 4th quarter...

I would LOVE to see these elements added:

- rapid fatiguing of a player that brings down his attributes (throwing, running and endurance) DURING the play AND cumulatively throughout the game....take that QB and roll out all you want in the 1st Quarter, but by the time the 4th rolls around, I would expect your Throwing Power and Accuracy to be in the toilet and your QB to be sidelined with cramps about once every three plays!!!

- if a player uses WRs on constant deep routes, give them the Randy Moss-effect - have them simply take a few plays off in a row...on-screen...have them half-*** their routes, not bother to block on the backside...show them grabbing rest if they are left on the field...same thing really for any player!

Best way to sprint had to be tapping the X button. The faster you tap, the faster you run, and on those 60 yard runs your fingers would feel tired after the play, so its like you feel the fatigue in real life.

I Agree 100%. players who sprint around all the time should be gassed. If you keep running WRs on deep routes, not just streaks, they should have to come out of the game. This is one way to penalize users who want to come out in 4 wide and throw deep all of the time. The QB should also suffer if the user rolls him out every play: his accuracy, arm strength and awareness, maybe half the passing icons could be dissappear until the QB recovers, should take a serious hit.

As long as the player has to accelerate before reaching his top speed, everything will be fine. Hopefully the turbo button doesn't allow users to reach their top speed instantly like they can now.

I always loved the tapping of the button idea. Alot of guys hate it on here though. I think its the best way to do sprinting and breaking tackles.
