Real time physics engine in NHL 11 but not Madden 11?

This was just posted in the NHL forum by Steve. There is no news of a real-time physics engine other then what was posted by Steve. If NHL applies this before Madden I can see all hell breaking loose on these forums.

NHL 10 is currently my favorite game in the EA line up. If anyone hasnt played it I recommend they rent a copy and give it a go. The gameplay and atmosphere is absolutely phenomenal IMO. If they have added a real-time physics engine I will be so happy! (Also, for those of you who like NHL somebody pointed out what appears to be a broken stick on the ice )

I sure within the next few years madden and ncaa Dev teams will add this engine into the game. Usually when one EA sports game gets something good. Sooner are later all the rest of the sports games will use it. So give them time. They most likly will use it soon enough.

Yea, I just commented on that. I myself would be pretty ticked if NHL got a real physics based engine, before Madden, That actually worked like a real physics based engine.

I guess I'm not following why the forums would break loose? Doesn't NHL come out later than Madden? Decisions were made probably early in the process for NHL, but Madden was probably a few months in production.

My opinion.

Plus, aren't they two different studios, one EA Canada, the other Tibouran?

Maybe NHL can be Madden's guinea pig.
