Your logic is flawless.

I pre-ordered Madden as an Australian customer from Gamespot.com and I will be eligible for the bonus as a 'online' customer. Good news for all.

How much does it cost to buy 20,000 coins in MUT now? Just to get an idea of how much $$$ they're giving you?

Madden Ultimate team is the only thing that kept me playing the game. I think it's great, and it's not that hard to keep you players if you manage your team correctly and use the mega contract cards not the 2 or 4 game ones.

In Madden 10
1500 -40 MS points
3000 - 80
6000 - 160
9000 - 240
12000 - 320
15000 - 400
35000 - 800
60000 - 1200
90000 - 1600

Card packs -
Bronze 500 coins
Silver 1500 coins or 40 MS points
Gold 3000 coins or 80 MS points
Platinum 9000 coins or 240 MS points

Mega Contract cards , these are the only ones worth buying , 1000 coins each they will make your player good to go for: Bronze - 42 games , Silver 36 games , Gold 30 games , Platinum 24 games. So with the 20,000 free coins you could have 20 players set to play for quite a few games. That is what I waould use the coins on, i don't buy many card packs, I pick most of my players up on the Auction Block.

for 750 coins (can earn in one game) you can extend even the best players for 24-30 games. There is no contract thing. People just didn't give it a fair shot at all. It's soooo easy to put together a team of studs, once you know what your doing. so easy, and I never spent a single penny.

you lose them, but you get coins based on how well you team performed in MUT 10

this is all info for the 360

on the PS3 you cannot buy coins with real money, just card packs. Therefore the economies across the two systems are different and prices are different too.

a platinum contract card is only 750 not 1000 and I like the strategy of using the coins to buy contract extensions. You can easily keep whatever players on you team that you want.

I just can't believe how many people where griping about issues that where soley based on their own poor learning curve of this game mode...

I hope they copy Fifa's. Tournaments would be a big attraction for me.

I dont remember exactly how many coins I was averaging per game(playing on 360). But it wasn't 750. And even if that were the case, 1 platinum card is good for 1 player. You'd still be losing a player(s) if you didn't have the coins to get contract cards in order to retain them in time. At some point, it catches up to you. And it did with me. There were players I wanted to keep, but had to choose between. Which, in theory, is probably how it should be. But the difference in ability and rating is so significant in the mode, that I was never really able to build a "team of studs" and maintain it. It was basically a team of silver and bronze players, and then the occasional gold/platinum player I would snag by luck in the auction house. I had to make sure I was playing teams similar to my team's rating, just to know I could compete. And it made the mode dry after 10 games or so.

What I really like about MUT, is the auction house. This should be the primary source of buying/selling cards. The primary source when I was playing was people just spending real money and buying up legendary and gold packs. And the playing field wasn't really fair because of it.
