But in NCAA I basically used the Madden ratings to improve the game play in NCAA football....I was able to edit and change player ratings in NCAA 10 because I wasn't using the default college players.

I created my own squads in the game...my signature link has all of the rosters for the college game
The link is great.

thanks man.....

I personally think the Madden ratings work much better in NCAA football for some odd reason.

For example in NCAA Football if you create Mike Vick and use his exact ratings on him from Madden the guy reacts scary realistic to Vick. Same running skills and throwing habits.

Yeah they definitely work. Especially with QBs in NCAA. I did the same thing as you in 10 (not the legendary players but I spent nearly three months finding scouting reports on every starter on every team)

I remember one test I did way back when. I took Joe Haden (97OVR, highest rated corner. made him lockdown) and the Florida Defense and went up against two QBs.

The first was Jimmy Clausen who had one of the higher AWR ratings in the game. (I judge awareness on ones ability to make reads. pro style qbs in my ratings have higher awr than colt and tebow)

I noticed that he never targeted Haden. Well except for when Haden blitzed but, that doesn't matter.

The other QB was my lowest rated QB in the game. Some dude from Army. He had like 10 AWR or something. He kept throwing to Haden's side. Joe was disrespected by this.

He batted away several passes and picked off 3 of them.

I guess that proved that the game recognizes a smart QB and the Computer doesn't make dumb reads when playing as one.

I can tell you that afterplaying hundreds of franchise games against the CPU, that ratings really do matter for QBs, WRs and RBs. If you have the same speed and acceleration with two players at WR, but one has much higher stats in most of the other cagories, he'll get open much easier and more frequently.

However that being said, in pass coverage against the CPU, I dont see much of a dropoff in using a safety with 60 over and someone whos 99. In my new Dolphins franchise, Ive lost both starting safetys to injury and my backups are both in the low 60s, and yet Ive not seen any dropoff in yardage allowed. Aside from making more INTs, DB ratings just dont seemt to mean much.

I think that we'll all agree that when it comes to pass rushing LBs in a 3-4 defense, no player does well no matter how high his ratings are. I can blitz on every play all season long and never see a CPU controlled OLB get a single sack.

Isn't that the truth.

I just love when

1) the CPU's punter is in at an OL position due to injuries

and

2) when he stonewalls the heck out of my mid 90's rated DTs and DE's

Amen, i thought that only happens to me. Seeing Julius Peppers get pancaked by Sean Lendetta damn near made me return '10 when it first happened.

As far as useless ratings is concerned, BCV does nothing IMO
