Which Madden did this begin, and which Madden stopped having it?

Also, when was the generic radio announcer first implemented, and which one was he replaced in?

How do you feel about that cannon sound effect? (did you like it or not)

How did you feel about the generic radio announcer commentary that replaced John Madden's? (did you like it or not)

That was Madden 08 and that game wasn't the worst, but it wasn't the best. I enjoyed that game a lot more on my PS2 then I did on PS3.

THe radio announcer wasn't the worst. He had emotion. But a radio announcer for a tv broadcast?

Also, he was a generic actor. That may fly in other nfl games but EA shud be able to hire a pro.

I know 07 and 08 for 360 and PS3 had that sound effect, not sure about 06... I wanna say it wasn't in 06 but I can't remember exactly. I know it ended in 09. To my knowledge, the sound effect wasn't used in any of the last gen versions of Madden.

He debuted in Madden 06 for 360. He was replaced in 09.

I liked the radio guy's enthusiasm, but the way the concept was implemented, well, it just didn't work. I'm happy this was finally canned.

I think madden 07 ps2 version had it aswell.
