Request for Help - Info on Marcus Vick in Madden

As near as I have been able to determine from Web research, former Virginia Tech Hokies quarterback and Miami Dolphins wide receiver Marcus Vick appeared in just two Madden games. These were Madden 07 and Madden 08. He can be found in both as a free agent. In each instances he appeared on the roster that came with the CD-ROM of the game and roster updates never altered his status or player ratings. Can anyone tell me if I have my facts straight? Was this true for all game platforms? Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide to me.>>

Well, if he's not a free agent in real life with the NFL he won't be in Madden. Google him, he's been in legal trouble.

Re: Request for Help - Info on Marcus Vick in Madden

I saw him as a WR one year and from what I recall he wasn't any thing good at all.

What I read about the guy in various places he isn't going to amount to any thing in the NFL.

Talent just isn't there to be a QB or a WR add to that a lot of off field problems and attitude and this guy is going to be walking the street.

Marcus Vick has had a troubled past but...

Marcus Vick has had a troubled past. In the World Wide Web world we live in today it appears as if he will never be able to escape it. Maybe this is just. Maybe I should not feel sorry for him, but I do. He has free will like the rest of us. No one forced him to make the string of bad decisions he did. Nonetheless, I cannot help but think that had he grown up in a middleclass suburb where he was not surrounded by trouble there would have been a much greater chance that his life would have turned out differently and he would be playing in the NFL today. A similar argument, I argue, can also be made in the case of his older brother, Michael. The safe bet seems to be that Marcus will never again play professional football of any kind. This is unfortunate for during his 2005 season as Virginia Tech’s starting quarterback he was magic. Although he could not run as well as his brother, he was a better ball carrier than any quarterback in the game today save Michael. He was also a much better college passer than his brother. Michael’s remark that Marcus was a better quarterback was no lie. Think Pat White of the Dolphins only with more raw ability. One of the many beauties of Madden is that we can enjoy an alternate reality. I can take Marcus Vick, create him as a player in Madden 10 and 11 and play a sophisticated and enjoyable game of what if.

Re: Request for Help - Info on Marcus Vick in Madden

Marcus was in those Madden games, and he did have potential...but what messed him up was his attitude/temper in college. He stepped on another dude face with his cleats on in the heat of battle in college which really set him back in the pros.

When he made it to the pros, he allegedly was dating a 15 year old girl lol. I don't care what middle class suburb you grew up in and how hard it was, thats some sick s***t.

He and Mike Vick had one of the brightest futures and I was rooting for them (especially since Im an ATL Fan), but its hard for me to feel sympathy when you make your horrible childhood into a great story to give people hope by making it in that Mansion and those great cars you couldn't ever afford, than throw it away on Dogfighting/Dating 15 year old chicks/smoking weed/and other petty crimes.

That was actually Elvis Dumervill, and it was his ankle, not his face.

Yeah, Marcus is a laughing stock here in VA. Tried to rob a McDonald's once, people still joke about that to this day.
