I'm sorry but that is ****ing awful. The delivery isn't bad it's just how it all put together. Let me break it down;
'Vineteri set to kick off' *15 seconds later* 'He's hit and dropped'
Seriously? I was expecting much better. They could have done much better in that 20 second period.
"Vineteri is set to kick this game off. And we are off! Roby catches the ball, returns it, puts on a spin move and gets crunched by the defenders on the 19 yard line." Is what I would have expected.
Ok continuing on.
'Hit and dropped, at the 19!' *start of play* 'They'll start this drive AT THE 19!'
Really? Thanks for reminding us in such emphatic fashion. But why 'they'?
'And the Saints will get things started from the 19 yard line'
That is then followed by another 5 second pause of nothing.
But the next part is actually good, for the first part anyway.
'Bethea gets his hands on him for the loss' - Excellent stuff there.
Unfortunately it's followed up by Gus YELLING 'To the 17!'
There were no signs of Chris Collingsworth too?
And after re watching, it looks like the pauses are because of gameflow and the coordinator saying his **** out loud. If that's the case I'm not a fan of the coordinator saying what to do by getting in the way of the commentators.
Thoughts everyone? I just found it disappointing from that video. I like Gus and the way he can deliver a line, but it's not very well put together.
it's not done yet. i'm sure they're still optimizing the system used for commentary delivery. however, i agree that it's lame not to specify which team they're referring to. that's just lazy, imo.

My score for Madden 13: 4.5/10
3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.
That is AWFUL!!!!!
The guys making Madden have no clue how to program play-by-play.
They need to ask EA Canada to do the audio for them. NHL and Fifa do an absolutely amazing job on commentary.
