I have not read or heard one thing yet from E3 that had any...

WOW! moments or "you guys are in for the best Madden to date!" from anyone. IMO there are some really bad design decisions being displayed-
1). the play call screen blocking the replays (really? really?)
2). No lock on Defense camera
3). No half time-extra point upgrade?
4). The sidelines interaction is still pathetic and zombie like.
5). I have still seen defenders break on the ball when they aren't looking at it!
6). The Pro-Tak seems the same- once a runner hits the defender it's like a stand still.
7). Kicking meter? Really- so we are going backwards now....

Some good things I saw: 1). It still looks good 2). Locomotion seems like NCAA which is really sweet. 3). New commentary but I don't know if it's better. 4). Seems like better OL-DL interaction.

Are you guys feeling the same way about 11? Is anyone really excited about the game like last years hype machine? I was really looking forward to E3 but dam what a let down.

I will say the gameplay looks alot smoother and I love how the replays look now, but yeah im waiting to hear more about the halftime and extra point show upgrades. You got a point, I haven't seen or read about any WOW moments yet or things that really have caught people attention.

I dont think we will hear any info on the Extra Point or Halftime show for 2 reassons

1. They probably didnt make any changes
2. Most people playing the game at E3 have stated, they played the game and skipped halftime because of the line to play (That would probably also not allow players to play a franchise game, sim a week, and watch the Extra Point

I personally would love to hear if any improvements were made in these two areas, but unfortunately I dont think there is much to report

Solid gameplay improvements are not going to yield WOW! moments. It's funny how a lot of people here at OS are always wanting gameplay improvements and not "gimmicks" but then when EA just focuses on the gameplay then we get threads like these. Just shows that EA can't win for losing with making everyone happy.

Oh and yes, I'm very excited for Madden 11 this year! It looks fantastic to me.

Well I asked Chase B the other day to try and throw in a question about halftime upgrade to see if anything has change with it this year. Hopefully they will answer for him. But I like the videos we got today. The gameplay looks so much better and the replays look much more solid. Hopefully it will stay that way in the final version.

What exactly are "WOW" moments?

Locomotion was a WOW moment if it pans out (helps in NCAA, but is not as big a deal as i hoped...Speed is still 100% the only really big rating overall).

Outside of Locomotion and Gameflow...What would you expect to hear?

We know franchise on and OFF are basiclly untouched overall.....There are no additions to either moder.

Co-Op team play (worthless to me) was announced and people will like it i guess....

What else?

Presentation got an upgrade ( i skip through it after 2-3 games in M10 anyway)...People liked that....

That about sums it up....At E3 they are User v User 99%....So the CPU AI really cant be tested nor can stats in Franchise....Those things to review are on US after release....

We have heard everything worth hearing already i believe.
