DL can drive OL straight back now into the Qb/Running back

The DLs Win animation was really bad in previous games, where they pushed off left or right and sucked the Ball carrier in for the tackle

That too me is my fav improvement gameplay wise

Locomotion still looks iffy to me.....My biggest hope was that it was going to eliminate Dbs and safeties from covering ridiculous amounts of ground

IMO I think I would label Madden 11..... "Madden 10 Fixed" at this point

but of course thats my opinion of it at this time, need to get in there with some sliders to see how much more potential it has

Or watch the Giants vs. Cowboys video and watch the difference on Jacobs running compared to Bradshaw. Those are things that you couldn't do/aren't in Madden 10.

Also, run blocking looks to have improved with real assignment blocking AI, plus the catch debugging thing in which there will be sideline catches, and way less over the shoulder catches and more of the wide receiver actually going after the ball.

Now I can understand people saying it wasn't enough added, and I can agree with that, but to say that nothing has changed is ridiculous.
after watching that video though it still looks almost exactly like madden 10

In your opinion, I'm sure it does, but not in my opinion. I think the animations look much smoother.

Alpha Build- I somewhat agree, or at least see where you're coming from.

E3/Beta- It really surprised me and looked much more fresh than anything we've played before. I am looking forward to the fine tuning and seeing the finished product.

The players move differently.

The playcall system is different

There are some new animations.

That's about it!

Now that's a condensed version, but not much more has changed, to my knowledge.

Well, this year is about gameplay, and all three things you mentioned have a significant effect on it. I don't believe the game SHOULD change a lot year to year, as that means they have finally built a base to stand on. Something to build off of. I feel like us as consumers have become so used to a brand new everything every year that it has become the standard. I'd much rather have something that looked similar and felt similar but played better than a brand new iteration every time.

My personal opinion is that if you like to play online you obviously may want to buy '11 but if you are an offline franchise player that doesn't feel the need to buy just because your buddies have it,you may want to just keep playing '10.

I liked '10 and really don't see much of a difference. They didn't really do much for franchise either. If you didn't play through many seasons of '10 you may want to keep going with your franchise.Depends on your point of view in making Madden an annual purchase no matter what.

If the game play and locomotion improvements are very noticeable, in my opinion, I think it's a upgrade over 10.
