^ That's the key... and he would match up man to man w/ tight ends or slot receivers frequently for blitzing purposes.

He's not a free safety, he's a cornerback!

The OP has him moving to FS.

I would always play someone who would always put his secondary players into his lb and dline corps. And i would always play as the steelers when they had bettis. and he would have like 27 broken tackles a game. lol. it always worked out in my favor.

Haynesworth is rated 86 overall because he's at RE, which makes him much easier to trade for.

Asomugha would be more difficult acquire. By chancing Calvin Pace to RE his overall would shoot way up into the 90s, and throw a pick or two into the deal and Asomugha could definitely be grabbed (along with Howard, who is a 78 OVR).

Imagine a defensive unit of...

LE - Shaun Ellis
RE - Albert Haynesworth
DT - Kris Jenkins
LOLB - Jason Taylor
MLB - David Harris
MLB - Bart Scott
ROLB - Thomas Howard
CB - Darelle Revis
CB - Nnamdi Asomugha
FS - Antonio Cromartie (move him to a playmaking free safety)
SS - Jim Leonhard

Pass Defense - Passing on the outside would be basically impossible with Asomugha and Revis shutting down WRs. And with Cromartie at FS patrolling the middle the passing lanes become even tighter.

Rush Defense - It would be nearly impossible to run on Haynesworth, Jenkins, Ellis, Scott, and Harris. The only hope would be sweeps to the outside with a fast running back.

Thomas Howard from the Raiders (78 OVR) would be an excellent addition because he is one of the best cover linebackers in the league... he can match up with TE's on the strong side.

What do you guys think? I think it's a good year to be a Madden playing Jets fan.
What I'm wondering is why - as a dolphins fan - you would even be thinking about this. I'm also a dolphins fan and this thread topic disgusts me.

I predict the fins win the division with a better defense then the jets.

Haha yes I'm a Dolphins fan, but I'm also a sports management major and constructing teams is my primary interest.

I usually have about 15 different franchises every year in Madden just for building teams.

If I were a Jets fan, I too would work on offense actually. the D is stacked already in real life. try and keep them rested by converting on 3rd downs and you should win most games.
