I like the idea of having 1 update after preseason, accounting for any ratings changes and transactions/trades...weekly updates after preseason regarding transactions and trades ONLY until week 6...a ratings update at week 4, week 8, week 12 and week 16...and, if warranted, a playoff (pre Superbowl) ratings update.


As far as injuries...I don't like EA's practice of taking someone off of a team entirely if they are on IR...if they bury them on the depth chart, fine...but leave them on the team. Or give us a fixed IR system.

I like how most of us agree that a 4-game period is the MINIMUM time that we need to assess players improving or declining...its so sad to see players improve or decline too quickly.

I think a realistic amount is +/-1-3 points per update. 1 point (4 points over a season) would be the average. 2 points (8 points over the course of a season) would be an increase that mike wallace would have seen last year.

3 points (12 points over the course of a season) would be extremely rare. although its happened, in my opinion Miles Austin went from a 68-70 rated player to a player i would rate an 82 right now.
