I came across this video for Madden 11, and between 4.00-5.00, they're talking about the new Game Planning feature whereby you can pick any plays you want and put them into one playbook that you can use, and that you assign each play to each different situation you find yourself in in a game.

Now, on this video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SUfXZtXpzU , Ian Cummings talks about this feature, but only in terms of when the coach calls your plays.

What I'm wondering is can you get the playbook that you created, at each situation, but where you can select which one to use? So basically the normal play selection process but with the plays that you put together..?

Sorry if it was a bit confusing, kinda hard to put into words.

Yeah. If you select to use the old way of play calling (by hitting X on every play, or setting it in the options so you don't have to hit X on every play), then the Ask Madden feature is replaced with your GamePlan, so if you select it, it will give you the plays you listed for the given situation and then you can select from there.

Just to be clear, you're not making a custom playbook with the game planning feature. You put together your game plan from one playbook. There are 15 situations where you can choose up to 15 plays for each. You can also rate the plays 1-5 stars to determine the frequency of calling these plays when you're using GameFlow.
