What's up with the Mod police this year?

Is it me or are the mods out in force this year. This is my favorite time of the year to visit OS forums to read where people are getting the game early (I've never been that fortunate personally) and also to read their impressions.

Usually it starts out "this is the greatest game of all time" etc, until the release date where everyone gets it and starts finding the cracks LOL. It's so predictable, but very enjoyable. It seems this year the Mods are under direct orders from EA to prevent this.

Is this true? What am I missing here? I mean threads talking about possible locations of getting it early and when people are getting it are getting locked.

its because around this time of year, alot of trolls are out and just making pointless, stupid posts

You said it. I love how people come on the boards complaining about the mods. Well it's their site so they really are able to do what they want. It people don't like it go to another site. It's that simple!

Preferably not the EA Forums though. Go somewhere besides here and there.

I'm not complaining, more trying to understand why this year it seems like things are different.

As a long time member of OS I LOVE the forums, because you can get the details that the reviews never give you. I've been guilty of spending HOURS reading through over 100 pages of a thread to read people's opinions who got the game early.
