NFL Draft, THEN Free Agency??

Anyone else notice on the tutoral videos that the NFL Draft seems to happen BEFORE Free Agency Signings?

That's wrong...it should be the other way around, like they had it in 2003. That's a bit disappointing...

Unless you cheat and trade free agents for high draft picks what difference does it make.

Well first, it's a realism issue. Second, your draft needs are dependent on what you can get in free agency.

yeah, let's not forget that the draft always comes around the same time as free agency so that means that in real life when the draft starts barely anybody has signed. The only thing that might affect that draft is of course restricted free agents but I dont think that they have this in Madden.

Re: NFL Draft, THEN Free Agency??

I actually like it better this way. Last year if I found a guy that I wanted I wasn't sure if he would still be available by the time I drafted. Because of this I would often take a free agent at the same position only to find this guy still on the boards when I pick in the draft. This way I won't have two new aquisitions at the same position anymore.

Let's see... Real NFL.

NFL Draft 4th Weekend in April

FA's... July 1st...

They are playing by the rules. You have to really make choices now. That's why it's so great.
