Live Tuning Packages allow EA to update games and bypass Patch process

Pasta Padre has a story that mentions NCAA including "Live Tuning Packages" and "Online Gameplay Tuning" that lets the developers change certain code paramaters without having to go through a patch approval from Sony and Microsoft.

This is great, if they take full advantage of it. Like last year with the online franchise being server based, which was suppose to make it easier to adjust OF's, but nothing came of that. But I think the idea behind is great

If I'm not mistaken, I believe EA's hockey franchise had this. I never understood why they could do it, but those producing Madden couldn't. Even now, it remains to be seen if it will happen for Madden, right? NCAA may be doing it, but will Madden?

If I understand it correctly, Madden does not have this. I believe Dembroski asked Ian about this on Twitter and Ian said Madden doesn't have it.

Until we have proof this is in Madden, then I'm closing this thread and ending the speculation.
