too easy to run?

I´m glad they implemented all these running blocking changes, but right now i find it too easy to run the football. I´m not even calling my plays.

This could be a problem since we can´t reduce RA with current sliders structure.

When people come on here and write threads like this one it would be great if you guys would put what setting you are playing at (rookie, pro, all-pro, all-madden).

I have been playing on All-Madden and I think the running has been pretty much on par. Only thing I think is wack is all the broken tackles, way too many.

Re: too easy to run?

you are correct my bad.

I tried All pro mostly, and while i do agree BT is an issue most of my big runs were without being touch by the D.

I tried AM setting and while it was better on my 3rd att i was able to break for a 21yds gain so i stop "testing it".

While i´m aware that lowering Off Blocking and BT settings i´ll be able to reduce the human running game, i found weird that last year i didn´t have to change that much from default.

Running game last year on default need only a few tweaks.

This year is way to easy on default setting while last year was not that easy.

Re: too easy to run?

I don't really have a problem with the running on all pro. I like that the cpu can put together a pretty solid running game if they stick to it.
Where I do see the all pro setting being too easy is that I can pass slants and crossing patterns all day against all pro.

Also what team were you using? I noticed that I don't run that well with the Colts but with the Jets I run consistently with S. Greene.

Remember the Jets have one of the best run blocking O-Lines.

running seems ok, im leaning towards agreeing with you though, it does seem easier, I have been playing on all-pro...im just talking the demo, but the colts/jets have pretty decent o-lines, so I am going to reserve my judgement until I get a full copy of the game.

Re: too easy to run?

Put your settings on All Pro and then the running game will get harder and trust me it will. You can get decent yards with Greene of the jets but breaking a long run is tuff to do on all pro settings. Playing as indy RB is much harder to get yards. Seems to me it really reflects true NFL style football tell you the truth. Indy is more of a passing team then anything. While Jets are a running team more then a throwing. I think the running game is very nicely balanced on all pro to tell you the truth.
