relocating team = better city?

say in owner mode you relocate a team to a city thats not HUGE , but is big...if your team is good or gets real good like superbowl good, will the city have a bigger population or anythign like that? like will it effect the economy and population of a city if you relocate a team thats good there?

I doubt it. While having an NFL team pumps money into certain industries in cities (hotels, restaurants, etc.) a successful NFL team wonít have a strong enough economic impact to cause a large population growth. Keep in mind that an NFL team is not a year round business that employs lots of people such as an airport, military base, or university. Plus people wonít move to a mediocre city just because the football team is good. I like the Packers but Iím not moving to a boring city like Green Bay.

Your attendance will go up but not the population. Good teams are more likely to have fans drive 1-2 hours to go to a game so even if you're in a small city you may get large attendance from suburbs.

Trust me, there are much more boring cities. My brother lives in Greenville, SC. It makes Cincy look like Chicago.

Re: relocating team = better city?

I have a question about this. Say I take a team that has so-so fdan support. If I move them to another city, will their fan support go up. I am pretty sure that if a team gets moved to a new city, there is lots of fan support, even if they are not winning. If they start winning constantly, will their fan support stay constant and possibly go up?
