question about the playmaker

ok i was just thinking, if you're playing online and you're on offense, and you do the playmaker option so the qb taps his hip..will your online opponent see this? is there a way to do a "fake" tap to fool the defensive man....i'm curious..

the reason why i ask this is...if they do see it and you can't call a bluff playmaker, doesn't this just defeat the purpose

I think in the tutorial video, Al Michaels says that your opponent WILL see the hip tap.

I just looked at it and he does say that and the icon playmaker will appear as well. I don't think there is a fake hip tap.

then what's the whole point.. if you do the hip tap the guy will still know that you've switched the play

Well it will flip a run play to the opposite side, but he won't know which side or if it's even a run play. On a pass play you have 4 options, so I think it will still throw off your opponent. With the ball in play you can change your upfield blocking or tell your reciever which way you want him to break on a roll out.

Plus, in real life when you are playing on the other side of the ball, you can see the QB do this. The fake is a good idea, but you worrying about the defenders seeing is pointless.
