Man I miss when Madden (or any football game for that matter) had Historic Teams.

Why dont they still have this feature in Madden anymore? I use to love matching up the Cowboys of the early 90's vs the 49ers of the 80's. Even a team like the '99 Rams would be great to play with.

This is something that gives the game more value, even when your Madden game is a year or two old and rosters are out of date atleast you could use a historic team to play with here and there.

EA PLEASE BRING THE HISTORIC TEAMS BACK FOR MADDEN 12!

You know EA was sued by former NFL players for having this feature (and not compensating them for it), right? I'd be shocked if it ever returns.

Oh really, I had no idea, this is the first Video Game website I have used so I had no clue.

That sucks, especially because they didnt even have the players names, just numbers and they werent even the correct numbers at that. Oh well, I guess that feature wont be coming back.

It's pretty easy to create them IMO

If you have patient you can knock out about 12-16 teams in 2-3 months time.

Why should they be compensated for being in a video game? It's not like anyone bought a game SPECIFICALLY to play as Bert Freaking Jones and the 77 Baltimore Colts! Next thing you know they'll sue to keep their name and likeness out of books and NFL Network unless compensated. They got paid when they played. Let us have our fun with what is essentially a bonus feature.

This is a good point and kind of a double standard.

The historic teams originally had the right numbers but the names were not used. Then EA even changed the numbers on jerseys. Still too close to the real thing?

Well if that's the case then how did that college player lose his case against EA when they use the right numbers and everything except the real names?

I guess money does talk in the legal system. LOL
