Do top free agents get resigned ?

In previous versions of Madden, when a player like Peyton Manning became a free agent, the Colts wouldnt resign him. After a few years with my redskins dynasty on 09, he ended up playing for the Giants. In most Maddens, it seems that it is rare that after many seasons, top players remain with the same team and finish their career with that team, unlike in real life, where in MOST but not all cases, studs like Peyton will never leave the team where they started their career. Is this the case in this year's Madden? not sure if anyone has went through a few seasons to see if top free agents get resigned. In past Maddens, after a few seasons, the rosters of the entire league are pretty much screwed because of this. Like the Lions can become a super bowl contender easily after a few seasons lol.

Ray Lewis was a FA in my 2nd offseason but he resigned with the Ravens and retired with them after that year. Only top guy close to retirement i've seen so far.

TC I'm guessing the last Madden game you owned was 09 since that's where your drawing your comparison. Well, they addressed this issue for Madden 10. It's not perfect, but it's quite improved. You don't see HUGE free agents in Free Agency. The big guys like Peyton will re sign before even hitting Free Agency. Last year, and this was only once in like a million franchises that I played, I saw Drew Brees in the Free Agency. I don't know what happened, I guess Saints had some crazy cap issues. However, all in all it's pretty decent now.

yeah Madden 09 is the last game i owned. Good to see it got fixed, though. Kinda killed franchise mode after a few years for me.
