Mortgaging a draft to fill a glaring need.

Would it be worth pulling a Mike Ditka and trading all of my high picks (1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounders) in order to get up to the #1 overall pick to fill a glaring need? I'm in the first year of a fantasy drafted franchise and I have young, high potential players at almost every position, except for one... Quarterback. My current QB is Brett Favre and I wanted to draft Jake Locker (#1 rated QB, #1 rated draftee) to replace him. I don't really have any other holes to fill other than QB (my backup QB is Tony Pike).

There are a lot of OL who are also very highly rated, so maybe Locker won't be the #1 pick. I really want him to be my franchise QB, but I'm doing decently in my franchise (5-3 after week 8) so there's no way I'll even get a pick in the top 10.

How did you get Locker to be rated that high?

Well before the season ends just trade your first round pick for the worse teams first round pick. it has to be before the offseason tho. Its not sim. However to level the playing field I wouldn't scout anybody else. But that's just me.

I was thinking about doing that, but I couldn't figure out how. I know that in Madden 10 you could access the Trading Block once the trade deadline had passed and trade that way, but in Madden 11 even the Trading Block option is removed once the trade deadline passes.

As for how I got Locker rated high... I have no idea. I think I boosted his stats a little before starting dynasty mode, but not by too much.
