What Happened to Popup Ads Being Removed in Madden 11?

Most of my post is reffering to last year, and I definitly feel like they snuck them in. And it sounds like they weren't in the game this year until the first or second patch, I may be wrong on that. So I would consider that sneaking the ad's in to people who tryed the demo or rented it before the update. As for me, I won't get fooled again. I just rented it about a week ago. So I noticed right away that the ad's are at the first play of every change of possesion.
It's not as annoying as last year, close thought. My real issue with it is the fact that they aren't upfront with it. If they want ad's int he game, they should be there from day 1. It's not fair to change a product in that kind of way after someone has already paid for a game the way it is.

Ok, I guess we see things differently.

Less intrusive than last year to me means, not showing up as much as last year.

To me, it is less intrusive than last years, and it doesn't affect game play for me.

I know you don't agree and that is ok.

Yep. Not sure how often. When I saw the first Ad, I turned off the game. I put up with it in M10. Ian said he was listening to the community, and there were plenty of complaints about those pop-up Ads last year. I won't play Madden 11 with them in it. Not one game.

It should be illegal for a company to change the experience of a game in such a negative manner after nearly 6 months of promoting it. After showing it at E3, providing a demo, and all of the game reviews are out. If that's not misleading the consumer then I don't know what is.

Definitely disagree. Less intrusive means not the same way. In a different way so not to be intrusive. i.e. Ads will still be there, but not in a way that offends the consumer. An overlay Ad, in and of itself is intrusive, and it's the same thing as last year.

They popup over the gameplay while you're at the line, same as in M10.

They disappear once you break the huddle or pick your play.

Since Valderaz showed the pic, I'll need to see when they disappear this year. I just never pay any attention to them.
