Franchise Mode Issues

So after the first year in a Niners Franchise mode I made some changes such as not re-signing quite a few free agents and signed Franklin to a Franchise Tag.

After getting to the Draft I go to my Players screen and see that all the players I didnt resign, Westbrook, Smith, etc were resigned by the AI and Franklin had a 6 year $70M contract even though I Franchise tagged him.

The problem is that since I selected resignings and all that to HUMAN, yet the AI did it. Is there something I can do to avoid this?

Re: Franchise Mode Issues

this has happened to me before, only the other way around. Wife is monopolizing the TV so can't confirm, but I think if you're in the Re-signing screen, you have the option to "sim" the task. If you go out into the franchise homescreen (the one with manning and brees on it), you have the option to "sim past" the task.

If you're in the task screen, and you hit the sim button, you might find Madden does it's version of Microsoft's Clippy. "Looks like you're trying to re-sign some players. Shall I...?"

Did you hire a new coach? If so it re-sets to CPU and you have to go back and change it.

If that isn't the case, that's strange because it's never done that to me.

I did.

That makes sense!

Possibly the most anoying thing to forget about. Hire a new coach, forget to change it back and all of a sudden your depth chart is filled with ****dogs lol.
