On the ebgames website it says Madden "ships" on the 11th, I am sure that doesn't mean Madden will be on the store "shelves" on the l1th? So, when do you guys think it will be on "shelves" and do I have to reserve a copy? I am still not sure whether I am going to buy Madden since ESPN Football is looking too good.

Well for this case it will ship the 11th and be in stores the 12th.

Ship date is generally the day before it shows up in stores. It is also the day they ship out internet orders.

Ships on the 11th and in stores on the 12th. Not all stores will have them by the 12th due to how they get orders to all of the stores. Your best bet is a specialty shop like EB or Gamestop. Reserving is always a good idea on a popular game.
