Wherever it is...he's been around for a while. And he does PLENTY of NCAA Tournament games. He's well established, regardless of where he is in the order.

Heck he even does StrikeForce for CBS.

We can all pretty much agree that he's better than Tom Hammond. Truth is tho is that its hard to get commentary down for a new guy in 1 year. Usually year 1 is just getting him into the game. I would think that commentary would be patchable. Editing and splicing and generally getting a better flow should be a year around project not something that's put in and then left alone. I think sounds in the game is one thing that never gets patched and sometimes its pretty noticable. Just my opinion tho.

Gus Johnson sounds like a fool due to EA's crappy piecing together of the announcing lines. I don't like that they have him get so excited all the time either. Non-biased announcers rarely get excited about the play on the field.

Maybe thats why Brad Nessler sounds so fluid and Madden's play-by-play has been robotic for a few years now. Because Brad's been on NCAA for a while.

Like him or not....Brad sounds smoother than anybody Madden's had in recent years.

I love Brad Nessler and Kirk Herbstreit on NCAA.. I think they are way better than what Madden has put together the last couple of years. Albert could very much be hitting the nail on the head.

I just personally wish there was more banter between the 2. Its always predictable. Gus says what happens on the field and then Chris gives his analysis. Followed by silence. Having a third announcer for Ncaa helped alleviate that some. Maybe even have a sideline reporter for all the injury updates and lineup changes.
