Hope the Link works, if it doesnt, copy and paste on the web browser. So with the NFL apparently in need of cash and EA sports asking for a discount on dues for the license because of a lockout looming what do you think it means?

It makes sense, no NFL = Less Madden Sales

If the NFL are unsure about revenue, let more developers make games and increase the cost of the license. Its pretty simple

Sounds like everyone is just crying broke. The owners want the players to take pay cuts while making them play 2 more games. EA wants a reduction on dues even though they say Madden 09 was profitable and they've since added Madden Ultimate Team, Online Pass and a Facebook app.

These are just classic tactics companies use to gain leverage before the serious talks begin.

That's only half of it. Less Madden sales? EA won't be able to use the NFLPA license next year, if the union decertifies, because the NFLPA won't exist. Things will be interesting.

I hope the NFL tells EA to take it or leave it. EA asked for the exclusive deal, now they have it...now pay the price or shut up. So sick of EA, maybe now they can get the shaft like they've been giving us for the last 5 years.

this is actually a pretty exciting time, from everything Ive read a lockout is more than likely going to be the outcome, with all this turmoil and the big corporations at risk who knows what the future holds? Right now it seems that its hope for us football gamers.
