In that example, no, but I put out another example below.

Let's say they went from skipping school to attending school every day. They were receiving D's and F's when skipping school, but now are receiving C's and B's by attending school everyday.

Depends on how you look at things, and yes, I would be darn proud of the turn around they made.

Exactly, there should always be some sort of learning curve that's not too steep, but also not insignificant. Essentially, isn't a learning curve an integral part of video gaming in general ? You buy a game and learn how to play it; without that, your playing the same game that may, or may not, have different features.

For sports games, the people that don't want a learning curve should just stick with the game they have. What kind of replay value can a game have that has no learning curve ?

Of course you would keep some core aspects of the game.

They can't get anything but F's if, everyday, they're skipping school; just like you personally couldn't give M06-09 anything but any but a failing grade since you say you couldn't bring yourself to play it.

Also, for arguments sake, if the quality of your kid's work was equal to that of children that were six years younger, do you really think that they would get B's and C's ?

Ok, now we are stretching it with what if's thrown in. No need to that for any sake, it is what it is.

I'll just leave it at that, as Rg and KJ said, this stuff goes nowhere.

Bottom line for ME, was that 10 and 11 were big improvements over 06-09. I don't see what is so hard to grasp, even though you don't agree.
