I want to start a franchise with the latest rosters but I'd like to take a couple of guys off IR before I start. Is there a way to do this? I remember on last gen, all you had to do was release and re-sign the player, but I just tried that and it dosent work. I know you can clear all existing injuries before you start the franchise but that's not what I want to do. I just want to take a couple of guys off IR like Dallas Clark but keep guys like Ryan Grant on IR. Is there any way to do this?

Other than doing what you already stated you didn't want to do (pre-existing injuries), there's no alternative than to delete the rosters and use the base roster file from the on-disc copy.

Get the DLC "Play through the Pain". You can heal one guy in the preseason and heal another once the regular season starts.

Is a couple of bucks really 'extra money'? LOL Lay off the Snikers for a few days or don't stop at Starbucks for one.

If it is really bugging you this badly, here is what you do: Go into the depth charts before you start the franchise. Put all the players that are injured that you want to play in their starting spots and put all the players you want to stay 'injured' in the inactive slots. Then when you start your franchise turn off the pre-existing injuries option.

Result: Ryan Grant won't play for the season and you can cheat properly with your Colts and Dallas Clark.
