Does speed still kill?

Previous Madden titles were all about speed. Any Wideout with 95 and above speed could be the next Randy Moss. Outside Linebackers with 90 and above speed were sack machines.

I don't have Madden 11. Is it all about speed still?

Re: Does speed still kill?

I wouldn't say so. In my current franchise I have two wide outs with 95+ speed and most of the time I can't find them open.

Re: Does speed still kill?

Nope. Speed still helps, but it isn't the end all be all, especially if the route running (RTE) is poor, awareness (AWR) is low, jump (JMP) is low, catch (CTH) is low, and the wideout will have trouble getting off the line in the first place if "beat press" is low and the DB presses the WR.

Re: Does speed still kill?

Of course speed kills. In Madden as in the real NFL.
Is speed a ridiculous unstoppable weapon as in previous Madden's? No.

Re: Does speed still kill?

I dont find it much of an advantage anymore. I traded for Heyward-Bey to see if i could burn the D. Out of 5 streak routes i only completed 1.

I would say slant routes are more dangerous than speedy streak plays.
