In the recently released Nintendo Power magazine, it talks about the upcoming Madden NFL Football game for the Nintendo 3DS. Here are some of the details, you might be interested in.

Play through a full NFL season
GameFlow option is in the game
"Call Your Shots" feature (Draw new receiver routes or defensive assignments with the touch screen)
Arcade Style 5 on 5 mode available
No multiplayer plans
New camera view, bringing you closer to the action
Development tools on the 3DS make it very easy to implement 3D effects
Nintendo 3DS is a very powerful machine, using a lot of assets from the next-gen versions

The ability to draw your own routes may immediately make this game more interesting than Madden ps3/360

I wish Madden Arcade XBLA had a 5 vs. 5 season mode like this game.

Madden Arcade is a fun game but they put no effort at all into the game modes.

You can draw routes on Iphone/Ipad madden, sounds cool, but really didn't enhance the play calling any. 5 on 5 kills it for me, i'd never take it serious, especially not enough to want to do a "season"

5 on 5 is just one of the modes.

One of my biggest issues with 360/PS3 Madden is the camera angle--it's too far away from the action.

I'm liking what I see out of the 3DS Madden...could be a legit portable football game.
