just got the game and i know ea sports changes the ranking of players as well as adding and dropping players and trades. i have online with madden and was just wondering if i had to do anything in game to get updates? do you have to be in a season mode to get these things? thanks in advance

I think it's NFL Online you click on and select Rosters.

Go online and go to rosters to download them. Or play someone online they will automatically download the new roster for you if your rosters are out of date.
