Has anyone experienced more freeze up since the patch?

I have been attempting to continue my Franchise in Madden 11 and have been experienced freeze ups alomost ever game. I found myself having to turn off my PS3 Slim the last 3 games because of freezing. During the animated replays the action would stop and the audio will continue going. If your on offense you will hear yourself get called for "delay of game." You can't pause, quit game (PS button), nothing. You are only left with shut down the system and rebooting. I had my copy of Madden 11 since launch. Has anyone else had this happen? Any ideas on the cause? It will even go wacky online sometimes too.

I was having quite a few freeze-ups in my franchise as well, 17th season. Eventually the game just went bonkers and wouldn't work at all, so I purchased a new Madden 11. After playing 7 games with new franchise, no-freeze-ups up to this point.

I did look at the original disc and there weren't any scratches or dirt, no marks at all. Thus, I don't have any idea why that first disc went bad.

Weird, I have played dozens of games since the patch...

In an old franchise I already had going and a new one with the Lions I started.... No freezing.

No I've probably jinxed myself thouhg, lol.

Is it just Madden thats freezing? Are any of your other games freezing?

In my case, it was just Madden freezing. I have the PS3 Slim.

I would try clearing your systems cache, and re-installing any patches.

Not freezing, but I'm now having 3-4 major slowdowns per game

My case had nothing to do with cache. As I said, I put in a new disc and it worked. I tried re-installing the new Patch but the game was dead, wouldn't do anything.

I've had a lot of disconnect issues on-line lately. It started Tuesday so I don't think it's patch #5 related. this totally sucks! EA, get better servers or go suck a duck.
