Slow or normal game speed?

I keep jumping back and forth between slow and normal game speed in Madden 11. I'd like to hear some opinions on slow vs. normal speed, the game definitely feels "smoother" at slow speed but I worry that I'm dumbing it down, I feel like normal is more of a challenge simply because things are happening faster.

Has Ian or anyone at EA registered an official opinion on which speed Madden 11 was "meant" to be played at?

I'm not trying to start a slow vs. normal war here, just want to have a discussion with others on this topic.

I would assume it was meant to be played at normal, hence 'normal' game speed. But its really just a default setting and gives users the ability to play to their skill. Normal is fine for me. Fast seems a little frenetic imo.

Slow was the default offline. Online, it was bumped up to 'normal' per community request.

I prefer slow as plays seem to develop in a 'better' manner imo. Normal isn't a quantum leap, but pre-patch, while I was tinkering around, trying to calm some of the superhuman A.I., I noticed that slow did some of that.

When I first went to normal, I was startled how fast everything was and how little time I had to do anything.

Now that I'm used to it, slow just seems.... slow. Though the game does seem a little smoother on slow. This is really a matter of taste and sliders, though. On your settings you might prefer slow.

With the recent title update I also felt that "slow" was sped up, so I moved it to very slow and the game just moves better.

Slow is my setting of choice. Plays develop better and the animations are smoother.
