Importing draft logic for Madden 11.

For alot of fans of both NCAA and Madden(me included) importing the draft class from one to the other is huge. As of know the logic behind importing draft classes are random at best.

There are some rating that arent even close to a guys college ratings. On occasions I have move QB's over with 97 THP on to have their THP be in the 60's on Madden. I dont even know how this is possible. For a player to lose sometimes as much as 30 points on such a tangible skill.

I dont understand how something like this can slip through the cracks. I would like more attention paid to this aspect of the game. So hopefully for Madden 11 there is some kind logic for importing draft classes.

Re: Importing draft logic for Madden 11.

this aspect of the game has absolutely ruined it for me this year.
Import drafts are my favorite feature. I like a fairly realistic outcome. This nonsense that they've given us this year is just trash and I can't get into it at all.
It's very frustrating.
The only quick fix that I can see to it is allowing us to edit the draft class pre and post draft.
If people don't want that, simple, don't edit.

I'm not seeing the problem here.
Look at real life. Look at how many players from each draft actually make it in the NFL.
Having a lot of players, even the top flight players, from each class not pan out is perfectly realistic.

Agreed. But still, one doesn't go from 99 top speed in college, to 82 top speed in NFL IRL. (Like Trindon Holliday did for me from NCAA to Madden)

Why? Being the fastest person in college, does not automatically mean you are the fastest person in the NFL.

Re: Importing draft logic for Madden 11.

I agree with both, if you are fast in college that doesn't make you fast in the NFL; it's all relative. However, a player like Holliday should be fast in the NFL too because he is an amazing athlete and a track star. They need to figure out a better system of changing the stats from NCAA to Madden. Maybe have a performance based NFL Combine so someone like Holliday will run a 4.3 40 because he's got natural speed.

I think until EA realizes that stats fluctuate throughout the NFL season with injuries, progression and strength and conditioning, this game will never be realistic.

But it means you're slower overall?

Re: Importing draft logic for Madden 11.

What is the difference in a 99 to an 82? Assuming a 99 is a 4.25 (which varies) and an 82 is a 4.50 you are literally talking about tenths of a second. And still, that is 40 speed. Game speed is completely different thing.

Again, there is really no problem with the drop.
