Sprinting Problems...

Any one else notice how broken sprinting is in this game. I mean some one who is sprinting can completely change the direction they are running in and not lose any speed at all.

This makes it real easy to get by defenders without even having to juke or truck stick..

Thoughts??

Yup, my thoughts exactly.
Sprinting is broken in two ways.

When sprinting you can basically do cuts my just moving the right stick and not lose any speed.
and
On kick returns you can sprint using a sidestep like strafe and not lose any speed. Because of this i aim my kickoffs all the way up.

Re: Sprinting Problems...

You do lose speed when turning and sprinting... Also, the cuts aren't as sharp while sprinting, jukes aren't as wide, etc...

The issue is how full analog affects how we must control our movement on defense. Madden 10 spoiled us. Ball carriers were only only able to run at 2 speeds, while defenders had more control. Now that the ball carrier has full analog control, it's easier to blow past defenders that haven't adjusted to defending ball carriers that can vary their speed...

My biggest adjustment was swinging the sticks around the edges to maintain a defenders momentum. When swinging the stick through the middle it tells your defender to slow down/stop before changing direction. By slowing down so much, it seems that ball carrier isn't losing any speed.

A change in technique will alleviate some of the issue.
