Madden has the deepest franchise mode BUT I hate it's control? It's too reliant on player animations and momentum to make playing defense enjoyable.

Oh, and this is a universal problem with Madden. It reaches across ALL platforms.

If you traditionally play Madden in coach mode you will not be happy with this years version.

What are you talking about? I make a lot of post so I have no idea what you are saying. You can use the reply quote feature I used for this post. Then I would have a clear understanding.

For anyone who has the PC version and plays coach mode does the QB stand around and let the defense just sack them?

Well it appears that it's not just the PS2 version that this problem happens. It appears that it happens on all platforms. INCLUDING the PC version which has a true coach mode only option. Take a read: http://www.maddenmania.com/forums/sh...&threadid=2605

I just read that CRAP over on the "maddenmania" site, and now I'm pissed. EA should be drawn and quartered, to overlook something that has been a staple of the game for at least five years (on PC). I can understand somewhat on PS2, as the consoles are PRIMARILY targeted to the younger crowd, and thus not a focus on "coach mode". However, on the PC, it's been there for quite a long time...I'm not spending another red cent until I know for sure they've patched that fried poop on a stick up!!!

that does suck for you coach mode fans...I personally can't get into just picking the plays, but I can see how it might be fun if effectively set up
