ok, well I didnt find the cure for cancer BUT...

During my franchise with the Steelers, I edited #43 safety, number one draft pick this year who didnt sign til late, put in his name and all that good stuff. During gameplay he made a big hit and they said his name, Polamalu...I thought that was pretty sweet huh?

EA knew people were going to edit his name in so they must have put his name in the data base...smart move.

I wouldn't be surprised if EA get called up on that -- saying the name is no different from including it as text. Unless another player has the same name... ?

i had to put in E.J. Henderson's name, and when ever he makes a play it's always, #53 makes the sack, instead of Henderson

Last year they said Leftwich, Dorsey, Kingsbury among others
Also they've always said Arrington I believe.

They could record someone saying LaVar Arrington and it wouldn't be against the law. They cannot put his name on the jersey or his picture on the screen because he is not a member of the NFLPA. There is no law that says they can't use the names "LaVar" or "Arrington".

If any of you guys have played NCAA they regularly record top players names. They've done it before on Madden and I see no reason why it would cause them trouble this year.

My version of Madden already had these players' names (E.J. Henderson, Polamalu, and a few others), complete with pictures... is this just a difference between the PS2 and XBox versions (I have the PS2 version)?
