I was playing franchise with the Vikings and ended up getting 3 1st round picks and 2 3rd round picks. With my second 3rd rounder I drafted this WR Ish Griffin. I signed him for very little money since he was expected to go in the 6-7th round. When I went to re-order my depth chart he wasn't there! I went through every team and found him on the Seahawks! How did that happen?

A few things come to mind:

A) Did you hire a new head coach? All USER settings revert to CPU after you hire a new head coach. Not re-signing your current one, just the new hires. You have to go back into Franchise Options and set them all back to USER.

B) Did you have sign draft picks set to user? If that is set to CPU, if you run out of roster spots the remaining rookies will occasionally get cut and signed before the re-order depth chart screen. Of course, Point A comes into place..Which you just read.

C) There was a bug where sometimes you couldn't sign players no matter what in some NCAA imports in previous years. Since this sounds like a generated rookie, that wouldn't be the issue, and you said you signed him.

Did YOU sign him or did you let the CPU sign him?

I made Leslie Frazier my head coach, so that might have been the problem. I signed whoever I wanted then hit start to move on. I didn't know it automatically switched the settings.

Yeah, it has messed up many franchises for me when it slips my mind. Hopefully it's not a chise-killer for you.

Side note:
The reverse is also true. I recall in one of my franchises where I saw Chris Johnson sitting atop the FA list but thought the money he was asking for was ridiculous!!!
However, my new HC Harbaugh signed him "behind my back" when I moved on and I believe it was that year (or the next) - SUPER BOWL!
Not a chise killer!!!!!!!!!

what you can do since you did draft him is go to the seahawks and switch his position to say Oline or something that drastically drops his rating adn then trade one of your lower WR's for him and then switch him back
