Help: How do you cope with the cheating in Madden

I remember back in the day when I was younger, and me and my cousin would be playing video gamesw and we'd get frustrated and throw our SEGA controllers and beat them on the dresser. Now days I'm 21 and the cotrollers and are bit more expensive than they used to be so now I try to stay somewhat calm but this years Madden seems to be pushing me very close to throwing my controller on the floor or possibly at the glass.

I'm not whining but its not fair that I can stop a team and make sure that every 3rd down they get is at at least a 3rd and 8 or longer, then miracuosly they convert the first down. One play in particular stands out late in the game I KNEW the game weas gonna pass so I chose a Safe formation from Dime. My CB who is supposed to back pedal then turn up the field and follow the receiver decides to run his own pattern where he stops half way through his route and lets the reciever run and catch the ball for a TD.

I know some people will say "its just a game calm down", sorry, that doesnt work for me b/c I take my games somewhat seriously. I know we play these games for fun, but I like others paid 50 bucks for this and I feel like I'm being cheated not only being the games itself but somewhat by EA. So in a round about way of asking how do you all deal with the cheating that goes on in EA games? Stress ball or acupuncture, what?
