Run n Shoot playbook

I would love for the run-n-shoot playbook to be in this year. they always put in west coast, run, and pass heavy. but i want a true run-n-shoot playbook with smart routes and all. if they can put in the wild cat. why can't we have the run-n-shoot? the last game that had a true run and shoot playbook was joe montana football back in 94,95. please ian put this in the game.

Re: Run n Shoot playbook

A true Run and Shoot offense where WRs are running option routes and reading coverages every single play would be near impossible to implement, never mind actually for the average Madden fan to run.

You're right. Joe Montana Sports Talk Football had a true run and shoot playbook so it is possible. There are already plays with WR option routes just have all 4 receivers run option routes. But for realism's sake I'd rather see a run & shoot playbook in NCAA Football - SMU, Hawaii and Portland State with Team Builder.

Run and shoot fan here and of any team that employs it.

I too love the Run & Shoot and while I would love to see it implemented in Madden/NCAA, I'm afraid it would just open the door for more glitches. I'm just trying to get them to put the Shovel Pass in... baby steps, my friend... baby steps... LOL

Exactly what I was going to say.......Nobody could run this type of offense without reading and learning about it first (and we all knw people dnt want to do that)

Re: Run n Shoot playbook

it seems that almost everyone I played in 09 used Run n shoot. Personally, I liked the pass balanced playbook.

Re: Run n Shoot playbook

I would love a run and shoot. Also, the west coast offense needs work (have you ever seen a WCO offense team with only one type of split back formation?).

As far as the run and shoot, the option routes would be nice, but there is also the consideration of formations. Any run and shoot is going to have a TON of four wide sets (since in the RandS you have the two regular wideouts and the two smaller ones built more like RBs- like Eric Metcalf, for example).

While they're at it they should add a Mike Martz playbook, since it is unique enough, with IT'S option routes, but most importantly, his ridiculous amounts of motions and shifts.

I would love to see all these traditional offenses and defenses in Madden. It even adds a bit of replay value, I think.
