At this point the plasma is a dead technology. LED and LCD are the two that have proven themselves to be the leaders of the pack. I still have a place in my heart for DLP too. With DLP if your picture starts going out you just replace the bulb for 300 and bam you got a brand new tv. Why do you all stadiums have LCD and LED screens for the audience to look at for replays and such.

they all have LCD/LED because of the brighter picture and thats whats attracts people the most. look at the overall tho, plasma is the way to go imo. best black levels. lasts as long as LCD. best refresh rate (which is best for gaming/sports/action). just overall a more realistic pic. LCD or LED have brighter pics, but they're too bright. it doesnt show the true black levels. so, it is not dead technology.
