How are the two QB's who's stats you guys posted, ages 50 and 47 respectively?

On create-a-player, it only lets you go up to age 45. So I assumed that on franchise, players always retire after age 45, if not before then.

They are not that old. The stats come from the EA Online Franchise website. EA has a glitch that makes them appear that old online but if you check them in your game they are 23-24 or whatever a rookie is usually.

I know AWR only effects QBs in simulations as well. Of course I also heard AWR does not effect any player except QBs in simmed games. That seems crazy when you think about how much AWR effects an overall rating.

.
I think that they put AWR in the game as a placebo stat to control all players' Overall rating. Why? So they can put say, some unproven rookie stats up high, set his awareness low, and bam- he's a 70ish overall, where if he had say- 10+ to his awareness stat, he would be 84ish overall.

Thats just my take on it. Where am I getting the from? I looked at the Redskins roster earlier this year (Their running backs specifically) and the only reason Clinton Portis had a higher overall rating than Ryan Torain was because of the awareness stat.

Now Ryan Torain has a higher rating than Clinton Portis, but you get my point.

I'm guessing the AWR effects the AI of the sim engine on who should have more stats when the game is simmed.

A while back one of the Madden developers said that awareness also plays into defensive backs and how they play the ball when its in the air.

Man, I'd like to get a definitive thread on how these affect every position and how they play off one another.
