Doesn't the whole foot have to be inbounds? From the picture, most of his foot was out of bounds, only part of his heel would of been inbounds.

Another situation could of been that his foot was already out of bounds and bought it back in, then made a sideline catch. I've seen that many times.

And the officials or booths decisions aren't always going to be right, even in real life.

No I think that would be an illegal touch. The receiver can not go out of bounds and then come back in for a reception. Pretty sure that's right.
