Why do you buy Madden?

Is it because you're a fan of the Madden brand?

Or are you like me and have been buying because it's the only NFL game around?

It's a ritual for me, been playing it since college days and now, my two boys like playing against dad and beating him.

Only game in town. That said, M10 and 11 were good purchases IMO.

I'm a Madden fan. That isn't to say I wouldn't buy two games if they were offered; but I like the Madden game.

I bought it in the past b/c I preferred to watch the NFL game over college (in real life). This has since changed, so I now play NCAA Football. I'm going back to Madden this year for 2 reasons:

1) I know longer have the time to invest in my obsessive rostering I do with all my NCAA games.

2) I want a playoff, and grow tired of losing 1-3 games and going to the "Who really gives a dam# Bowl". I tweak my sliders for a challenge, and therefore I always lose a few games. My gaming style is more suited for Madden if I want to win a championship.

I used to buy any and all football games that came out and actually feel the Madden ps2 series were some of the best football games ever. That said, I haven't bought Madden new in 2 years and I will never ever buy Madden new again until the license expires...even if it deserves sports game of the year. I'm just tired of being denied options.

I'll probably end up spending more getting the game used than if I just bought on release day, but my conscious will be clear.

There isn't a "Because it's fun" option. That doesn't surprise me.

If another NFL game comes out that's more fun, I'll buy that one.

And yes, I specified NFL. The NFL license is a big part of the fun, to me. Playing with players I know makes it a lot more fun for me.

i really love the NFL and need my fix every year. Its the new players and my team colors which always draw me in
