Two things I have done to keep Madden fresh.....

The first thing I did was take Commentary off for non Playoff or Monday night games or Game of the weeks. This allows there to be greater atmosphere for these games kind of like NCAA for non TV games.

Secondly I came up with an Idea for how to practice for your next opponent. Though there is no scouting or practice mode I have exported my current year team to exhibition and I go to practice mode and practice against my own offense and Defesne using the playbook for the team I am playing that week. Sometimes I practice agianst the Defense of the team I am playing.

So far it has helped alot because I lost Aaron Brooks for 6 weeks and his backup Todd Bouman for the Season so I am working with my 3rd string QB and Free Agent pick up Ray Lucas who sucks. Practicing allows me to see what plays my QB can do against the team what plays are not so accurate.

Seems like doing this will take an eternity to finish a season.

But more power to you...

Ya, it'd take long to finish a season. I finished my first season (3 human controlled owners) in around 10 days. We play game after game after game.

Naw it really doesn't take much. I only practice a few minutes before a game so maybe 5 or so minutes to see what plays work and which ones don't. Then I play the game right after so its like an extra 5 minutes before the game.
