Salary Cap on Madden 2012.

Well, keep in mind this is an older thread. Salary cap has certainly gotten some love as evidenced by the replies (from May), but it isn't going to be like the cap we'll see in the NFL in 2012, the details of which were ratified just last week.

Yea im just hopin it stays at around 120-125 for 2-3 years and increases minimally. I jus hated the huge jumps of 10-20mil in cap space last year (altho i understand why, it ruined franchise for me). Btw excited to Winnipeg get a team. From a Sens fan

The real NFL salary cap is expected to as much as double by 2016, I think it will be pretty difficult for Madden's cap to unrealistically inflate, if anything it will be too stingy with all of our draft picks not slotted into rookie deals.

Just out of curiousity's sake, how did Peyton Manning take a contract where he's paid 23 million the first 3 seasons, but then just 10 million the last two seasons?

The structure of his bonuses and when/how they are distributed. I don't see the exact figures anywhere about their distribution, but that would be why.

Anyone know how much of the new CBA is going to be in this years game? Probably none but just wondering. The rookie salary systems seems like a very big change, would like to see that in Madden.

None, the CBA was finalized far to late.

Keep in mind, the CBA really only became official a week ago today, with a lot of the details either unavailable or very fluid as negotiations continued.

Many of the rules like the rookie salary structure I wouldn't be surprised to see not added until the salary system is overhauled, and instead we'll get a simpler version in the meantime starting with M13 if such an overhaul doesn't make the cut.
