Re: Is there enough new features in franchise to make it replayable?

The last time I played a Madden franchise for longer than like one and a half seasons was 2006 or 2007 on PS2, which had the player roles. Now that this feature is back in, along with a ton of other stuff we've never seen before, I feel like I could go back to playing my franchise for upwards of 5 or so seasons. I doubt I'll have much time to play more than that, but it won't be because of replay ability that I wouldn't play too many franchise years.

Re: Is there enough new features in franchise to make it replayable?

I'm not really sure, for me it is a half and half.

Personally, I think game play is the seller for me. If the in game presentation and animations are done well, then I'll be playing my franchise for 10 years. If not, I'll probably be selling M12 within three months.

I'm the kind of person that plays franchise just because I like playing actual football. The other aspects such as trading, the draft, and signing guys is all just a huge bonus for me. So for franchise mode to be fun, the actual game play has to be fun for franchise mode to be fun (Madden 11 doesn't count, it's franchise mode was so terrible I actually couldn't get myself to play more than 3 games regardless of the game play).

I'm going to sum it up for me and many of the hardcore offline franchise faithful.

Yes.

Yes.
Agreed. It appears they are implementing many of the things I loved about Head Coach in to Franchise mode. So for me yes.

Yes. And I think the dynamic player performance will make every game and season feel different which will certainly go a long way towards making it replayable.

So then why bother to say anything?? If you don't play it,then this thread really doesn't pertain to you...so I say again, why bother to say anything.

That would be like myself going into an online only thread and saying "fraid not...but I'm an offline play now player"

As far as the tc question...hell yes it seems like there are enough new features, especially compared to what we've had. I can't wait to dig into this...the expanded player rosters are going to be awesome, and add so much to preseason and who gets cut.

If what has been mentioned so far doesn't seem like enough replayability, then I'm not sure you'll ever be happy with Maddens franchise.

Re: Is there enough new features in franchise to make it replayable?

I think they have loaded quite a bit to make the franchise mode replayable for awhile. Now the question is, will everything work like it should or will it be a technical disaster? If all goes well out the gates with minimal flaws then it will be very replayable but if the game is just broken and needs major fixes all the time, etc etc etc I could see it not being very replayable because it would become a nuisance and take away from the replay value.

Re: Is there enough new features in franchise to make it replayable?

Yes!!!!

Still playing Madden 11 (My 3rd season in 'chise mode)

One thing that has not been mentioned, but would greatly enhance what has been already announced for Madden 12 'chise mode. Gus Johnson and Cris Collinsworth need to talk about EVERYTHING! I mean what they talk about in Pre-Season is different from what they'll be talking about in the Reg. Season. Playoffs and Superbowl.
Player signings, Trades, Injuries need to be mentioned. What the players have done in the Season (Pre or Reg) has to be talked about through the entire season.

When you Draft players (either NCAA or Crafted) Johnson and Collinsworth need to talk about those players by name. The Stars of tomorrow.
